WH Daphne Von Furstenburg
(White Oak ZipiZape x Diedre Von Hooligan)
$2,000

Daphne is a big beautiful girl with fabulous tuxedo markings.  She is very set in her ways and not all that welcoming, but does seem to have a soft spot for Steve.

Daphne is second only to Kizi in herd standing.  And even then, she and Kizi often have "discussions" about how things should be run and who should be running them.

That being said, Daphne and Kizi really are a couple of old "hens" who thoroughly enjoy each others' company.  Daphne is also mother to  ALL's first born cria, Mercury.  She is an excellent mother and isn't shy about letting the other moms and their crias know how things should be done.

She is bred to Stryker for an October 2009 cria.
LCK Kizi
(Nagel's Trampas x LCK Carol Lyn)
$1,500

Kizi came to Aulds' Lluminous Llamas in our original herd purchase of August 2006.  Kizi is a big tall girl who all the other llamas, except Daphne, follow without question.

We were recently surprised to find that Kizi has llama royalty in her pedigree being a descendant of Don Juan Quixote and Don Juan II.

Even though Kizi takes a back seat to no one, she is very easy to handle once she is on lead and stands quite still for her vaccinations, shearing and nail trimming.  And, though she wouldn't admit to it, LOVES to be hugged and have her neck scratched.

She is bred to Stryker for an October 2009 cria. She is a great mother.
Zoie's Tiger Llilly
(Encantador x LCK Zoie)
$1,500

Llilly also joined us in our original herd purchase of August 2006.  Llilly is by far our most shy and reclusive llama.  She recently gave birth to a Stryker sired cria, A. Lluminous Aurora Boreallis. Motherhood has been good for her.  As we had hoped, having her own cria to care for has made Llilly forget she needed to be within spitting distance of Kizi at all times.  It is now common to see Llilly and Rory off by themselves enjoying each other's company.  She has become a very curious llama who is now often the first to approach "the humans".

Llilly is an excellent mother with what appears to be plenty of nutritious milk.  As hoped she produced a gorgeous cria with Stryker.  But don't take our word for it, see for yourself below.

She is bred to Stryker for an October 2009 cria.
Sweetdreams of Pinewood
(Daydream Believer x Lady Blossom)
$4,000

GRAND CHAMPION - Lamapalooza 2008: Junior Performance Group
RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION - 2008 Iowa State Fair: Junior Performance Group
5th Nationally - 2008 ALSA Grand National Show of Champions: 2 Year Old Light Wool Female
5th Nationally - 2008 ALSA Grand National Show of Champions: Junior Public Relations
9th Nationally - 2008 ALSA Grand National Show of Champions: Junior Obstacle

Sweetdreams, known as "Dreamy" at Aulds' Lluminous Llamas, came to us from Pinewood Llamas of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Dreamy, was born in October 2006, and was shown by Aspen at the 2007 Cedar Valley Llama Adventure.  It was Aspen's first show competition where she and Dreamy performed in showmanship and the obstacle course.

Aspen and Dreamy proved to be a pretty well matched pair, and we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to bring Dreamy home for Aspen to continue to work with for the shows of 2008.  These two rising stars have a great chemistry and as you can see above have already proven to be formidable competition in the show ring.

Local spinners competed over the chance to buy her raw wool.
Pprecious Granola
(MGF Kon Tiki x Pprecious Moment)
$1,000

Nola, as she is referred to here at Aulds' Lluminous Llamas, came to our attention at an exotic animal auction in Kalona, Iowa in early October 2007.

Nola is a tall girl with solid structure and a beautiful paint coloring.  She is 3 years old and settled in VERY quickly with the rest of the herd, almost like she knew some of them before.

She is bred to Stryker for a April 2009 cria.
Santana Copiapo's Sweet Alabama
(Rebano Escandido Copiapo x Rebano Escandido 717)
$2,500

Bam Bam, as she is known at Aulds' Lluminous Llamas, came to us from Jeff and Jackie Graham of Dunkerton, Iowa.

Alabama is a 6 year old Copiapo daughter with the signature size. She is gentle natured and prefers to take life at her own pace.

She is bred to Stryker for an October 2009 cria. With the history of Copiapo's silver and Stryker's silver, we hope to have a little platinum on our hands next fall.
Llucky's Sail Away Autmn Breeze
(Profit Sharing x Cosmic Bandana)
$1,500

Autmn also came to us from Jeff and Jackie Graham. Autmn is the pasture clown but also a great guard llama. Her tipped ears fit her comic personality. At 3 years old, she is easy to work with and we have high hopes for breeding more of her wonderful red wool.

She is bred to Stryker for an October 2009 cria.
Katrina Louise
(Canadian Fiduciary x CD Tangerine)
$1,500

Katrina gets her name from the fact she was born on the day Hurricane Katrina struck Louisiana. We acquired Katrina from Randy Foster of Dysart, Iowa, where she had been bred to Lion's Silverthorne. She gave birth to a beautiful male cria, KL's Quazar here at the end of September.

Katrina is a long, tall and stretchy llama with beautiful confirmation. She was not handled very much and hence has some behavior modification ahead of her. If she responds well, we will breed her soon. She will be available as soon as Quazar is weened. She is bred to Stryker for an October 2009 cria.
A. Lluminous Ursa Major
(Mashuga's Stryker x LCK Kizi)
$3,000

9th Nationally - 2008 ALSA Grand National Show of Champions: Yearling Light Wool Female
1st Place - Llamapalooza 2008: Medium Wool Juvenile Females
2nd Place - 2008 Iowa State Fair: Medium Wool Juvenile Females

Aulds' Lluminous Llamas is pleased to introduce our first little female cria, Lluminous Ursa Major.

Ursa is a very people friendly llama and will come up to you for attention. She allows hugs, gives kisses and will gladly eat (almost anything) right out of your hands.

Ursa has grown very quickly and will be a large llama like her mom and dad. She has faded to a beautiful taupe color and has a fabulous personality. Local spinners fell in love with her raw fiber.
A. Lluminous Sprite
(Mashuga's Stryker x WH Daphne Von Furstenburg)
$1,000

A. Lluminous Sprite is our second little female cria.

Sprite was born Friday May 30th, 2008.  Her mother, WH Daphne Von Furstenburg, has had 5 previous crias but this is her first female.

Sprite was 24 lbs at birth and is a very petite little lady. She is dark brown with red spots and a white blaze under her chin.  It is her petite size and small white blaze that prompted the name Sprite. And, keeping with our naming convention, sprite is also a reference to a electric discharge or recoil from a lightning strike which extends upward into the sky.
A. Lluminous Aurora Borealis
(Mashuga's Stryker x Zoie's Tiger Lilly)
$3,000

Aulds' Lluminous Llamas is pleased to introduce our latest little female cria, A. Lluminous Aurora Borealis (Rory).

Rory was born Friday July 25th, 2008 bright and early at 8:30 AM, the day before our 10 day Yellowstone vacation.  First time mother, Zoie's Tiger Llilly, is one of our original herd members at ALL.

Rory was only 19 lbs at birth but is a very long legged, petite and highly energetic little lady with her loud paint markings.

Rory is a very cautious llama like her mother and can move like lightning. She is growing quickly and it appears Llilly is a very good mom with plenty of milk. We are excited about the prospect of showing Rory in 2009.
Callisto
(Bloodlines Unknown)
$500

Callisto, along with Pprecious Granola, came to Aulds' Lluminous Llamas through an exotic animal auction in Kalona, Iowa in early October, 2007.

Callisto's angelic face and petite frame caught our attention immediately.  She is a quiet timid llama who fits in well with the tall nature of our other females.

Callisto was born in July of 2006 and we are planning on submitting her for screening with the ILR so we can register her future ALL offspring.  She is bred to Stryker for a fall 2009 cria.
