Mashuga's Stryker
(Mashuga x PPF Peach Sorbet)
$1,500
Stryker is a very big boy. He stands 48" at the withers, and about 425 pounds. He
is majestic, but also very sweet. He originally was very dark brown, but has
turned quite gray! He is extremely easy to work with during routine health procedures,
and leads like a dream.
Aside from his "tuxedo" stamp, Stryker has definitely and strongly improved
the fiber of all of his offspring over that of their dams. If you're looking
to breed to a male who will give you soft, silky fiber, Stryker is your guy!
Stryker's 2007 crias have all done well in fiber judging. Our yearling Ursa, whose mother is a classic wooled llama,
placed 6th in a walking fiber competition and his daughter's, The Velvet Hammer, took 2nd and Reserve Grand Champion,
while Wild Ridge Unchained Harmony, took 5th place out of 29 entries in single coat under 24 months at the ALSA Grand
National fiber competition.

Daphne's Mercury Rising
(Wild Ridge Super Doppler x WH Daphne Von Furstenburg)
$8,000
7th Nationally - 2008 ALSA Grand National Show of Champions:
Yearling Medium Wool Male
Reserve Grand Champion - 2008 Heartland Llama Show:
Medium Wool Male
Mercury was born on June 6th, 2007 to Daphne. He weighed 28 pounds and was
up dry and nursing when Sandy found him at shortly after 2 PM.
Mercury is a big strong boy and showed well with Sandy during the shows of 2008.
He has already made quite a reputation for himself and has the show judge's
singing his praises. He did us all proud at the 2008 ALSA
Grand Nationals in October.
Mercury has graduated to stud-to-be status and is living the bachelor life with
his new friend Firefly away from the ladies. Little does he know his day is
not far away!
The local spinners love his fiber.

JJ-HH's Firefly
(Tomallas Jafar x Little Miss Moffett)
$10,000
Aulds' Lluminous Llamas is pleased to be the new home of JJ-HH's Firefly, last of
the long line of Jafar offspring. Jafar, sire of many champions has ceased in his
breeding duties and we are fortunate enough to consider Pam and Gordy Jensen
of Hid-N-Hills Llamas friends, who allowed us to add this fabulous bloodline to
our herd. We are honored to have the opportunity to perpetuate such a great line
of llamas.
Pam and Gordy delivered Firefly to us at the 2008 Iowa State Fair Llama Show. Firefly
had just been running in a pasture with several other of Hid-N-Hills' yearling
males prior to being cleaned up, loaded onto a trailer and brought to us. His halter
experience was non-existent when he arrived at the fair. That did not stop us from
entering him into his first ALSA halter class the next afternoon where he proceeded
to take 3rd place in medium wool yearling males, even beating out our own llama
Mercury, who took fourth. It just goes to show you how superior breeding produces
results.
As you can see, Firefly is a beautiful reverse appaloosa male with classic Jafar
size, shape and lines. We greatly look forward to showing him further as well as
breeding him to our many fine ladies. Between he and Mercury, we think we have two
of the finest studs-to-be any farm could hope for. Not too mention, Firefly's sire
Jafar, was DNA tested to be the best match for Crazy Mountain Man females, something
we have quite a few of here at ALL.

Dreamer's Derringer
(Mountain Dreamer x Kitt Currey)
$500
Derringer came to us from Pinewood Llamas of Cedar Falls, Iowa. He is a small
build gelded male with confirmation to die for that knows what to do when he enters
a show ring. He is such a beautiful llama, it is heartbreaking to think he's
gelded. He would have made some beautiful babies.
Derringer is our son Talon's llama and they have been working together in 2008 in
Showmanship and Performance classes. They competed at the 2008 ALSA Grand
Nationals and narrowly missed a top 10 in showmanship. Derringer was on
his game. He is mad at Talon for not helping him bring home the hardware.
Derringer, who was the doormat of his previous herd, has found a nice niche at ALL
as the herd guard. He is an excellent guard and keeps the pasture free of barn cats and anything else
that may threaten the herd.
Local spinners have purchased his raw fiber and love it.

KL's Quasar
(Lion's Silverthorne x Katrina Louise)
$3,000
Quasar joined our herd on September 24th, 2008. Katrina wasn't due for another week
or two, but you know how first time moms are, they never follow the rules. He was
26.5 pounds at birth and is long and leggy just like his mom. He is a very strong
little boy and has the softest wool. He is very curious and wants to keep an eye
on everything and everyone. He looks like another great show prospect for 2009.
He has soft silky fiber that should have our spinning friends standing in line.
